Being an airline pilot is great for jury duty. When it happened to me, I had two three day trips dropped (the expectation was the trial would last two weeks), and I only ended up serving four days before the case was settled. Sucks for people that aren't getting paid while serving on a jury, but since that's not the case for us, I don't go out of my way to avoid it.
