It's never the fall that gets you - it's the sudden stop!

Bah! Today's generation doesn't hold a candle to the WWII generation! During the war a man fell 30,000 feet from a B17 without a parachute and survived. And according to our good ole Mythbusters that was an actual confirmed incident, They just couldn't figure out how he did it... 40 ft on a skate board, Boo hoo! He didn't even have to dodge any Nazi's when he hit the ground!

P.S - That was a wicked fall, I would hate to have been him. Anyone know what all he broke (If anything)?

I saw it on the local news, they had him on a phone interview listing his injuries. I remember a fractured vertebrae, and I think there were other injuries as well - but any landing you can walk away from.. and he did exactly that, somehow.....

I believe some bruising of his lungs and liver as well as the broken vertebrae.

I can't imagine what was going through his head... he had a few seconds to think about the fact that he was going to slam HARD...

Yeah taken down for copyright. My wife said on the news they covered last night they reported the guy doesn't remember anything from the actual fall.

The cracked vertebrae was a pre-existing condition. (according to ESPN) The only injuries suffered in the fall were a fractured wrist and a bruised lung. Crazy how his shoes go flying...
