To me the 80g is kind of overkill. Unless you plan on having a lot of movies and pictures. I have a 60g with over 7 MONTHS worth of music, a handful of pictures and I've used a little over half of my total space.

I have 7000 songs that take up about 30 gigs on my 40 gig ipod. I seem to listen to the same 200 songs.Go with a smaller size drive and a cheaper brand. I just dont understand the need to watch tv or a movie on a screen that is less than 2 inches.

I agree on the smaller drive part (But then again, I don't think they over a 60 anymore) but I have to disagree on the other brand. Everybody's tastes are different but I prefer the Apple mp3 player over other types I have seen and messed with.
For starters, you can't beat a lifetime warranty (Not sure if everyone else offers that or not). Also, I like the IPod's interface and ease of use (Including ITunes). On top of that I'm pretty sure I noticed improved audio quality on the IPod over some other brands (Probably has to do with the EQ options on the IPod).
But then again, to completely disregard everything I just said, I would probably be torn between an IPod and a Zune right now. They seem pretty nice and very similar to the IPod as far as user friendliness goes.
