Ramp agents
Has anyone on here held a jobs as a customer service/ramp agent while going to college. I am wondering if they are somewhat flexible with hours. I am able to work holidays, evenings, but their are some days that I cant work due to classes.

Depending on how busy the airport is, you have a number of options. Working at an "outstation" offers many more chances for part-time employment than a hub as they only need you for certain times of the day versus working you for an entire 8 hour shift. Another option is a subcontractor, like ATS or Swissport.
I worked for ATS for nearly five years. While the pay wasn't nearly as high as an airline they were very flexible with my schedule, paid well enough, and I enjoyed working there. When I left, I took what basically amounts to a pay cut to play FO.

I mean an airport that is a spoke rather than a hub. Rather than having flights all day they may have a few each day. When you only have a handful of flights chances are they'll not be busy all day like a hub would be.

eh doesn't really matter how big it is... it's not a hub, so it doesn't matter. it all depends on the airline too, rampers aren't employed by the airport, they are employed by the specific airline (and or contractor like pip said). they all have different schedules/benefits, so you'll have to talk to them all individually to decide which one works best for you.

Other than that one incident however, he doesn't seem to have any problem attending our morning class five days a week and flying 2-4 times a week on average (I think).
