Heard the ol' Goose is going to be going back into production, except not by Grumman (of course) but by some one I can't remember. Who has info? It's great that this is going to happen, the Goose is an awesome airplane.-JSF

BTW, found the link for the article. Too bad it's a turbo prop, not the ol' radials.

Maybe you can pick up a new frame w/o engines and put the radials in it. I'd only own the radial version. It's just wrong not to. Be like having the option between a Harley and a ninja.

In the article/website it states you can get the Pratts, of=r radials of 450-600hp.

If you're smart, you'd take the ninja every time... Because motorcycles shouldn't have the uselful RPM range of a Lycoming.

I agree with you about the airplane though, round engines or nothing.

Huge difference in useful load between the Turbines and Radials. From the website:

Empty weight on both (shouldn't it be lower with the Turbines?): 7,200lbs

Radial MGTOW: 9,200lbs
Turbine MGTOW: 12,500lbs

I love the radials - that would be a personal pick for me.

When I first found it, I just glanced over it. I was saying the rumor that I heard about it being fitted with Turboprops. Then I went back through and saw that the radials are an option, which I'm happy about, but am not sure about the "Standard aluminum/carbon fiber construction".... It'll be neat though...

They just banged one up? That's the story up here....

There are a few still flying the radial version Goose up here in AK. After playing around the Albatros birds that flock to Boulder City every year, the Goose is cute! Lotta work, though. And thirsty, too.

We have a Goose restoration project wrapping up here in KTN. It's very cool.

Where can I be found? Where the SOUND is ROUND!!!!

You just need bigger radials that's all. Buy it empty and put your own on there
