Had a passenger tell me there was a panel missing on the wing because he could see through the wing to the runway when we landed with full flaps and the spoilers deployed:D

From another board during one of these threads:

Somewhere over Chicago Center's airspace.... " New York departure, American 346, you still need us on a 270 heading?"

STILL GROUNDED 10-21-2006 11:31 PM

Heard over mid state NY.

"Ding" Ladies and gentleman from the front office...blah blah.....

This guy proceeded to give an award winning briefing to his pax over Cleveland Centers freq. It went on for three minutes at least, he never took his hand off the button for anyone to stop him. Some Express Jet guys going to Buffalo. They were on time with nice weather.

When he finished there was a dead silence, then it started with

"Man that was beautiful"

"thanks, we'll tell your pax"

"glad to see you're on time"

Heard from ATL Center,
"Citation XX, If I were sitting next to you, How fast would I be climbing?"

I was flying from Bogota to Panama last week. We picked up some icing at altitude so I gave a PIREP to Bogota Control.

Bogota Control, FedEx XX picked up light rime icing for the last 30 miles at FL 360.

Bogota Control: "Approved"

I was flying a C-425 from Texas to Utah when I requested direct Fairfield VOR.
Controller: (female)Which VOR?
NXXX: Fairfield VOR.
Controller: Pause... do you have the identifier for that?
NXXX: FFU
Controller: (sounding pi$$ed) WHAT!?
NXXX: Foxtrot-Foxtrot-Uniform.
Controller: Oh, okay... I thought you were getting sassy.

LGA ground controller to American after the AA crew failed to follow the controllers instruction to give way to another taxiing a/c:

In a thick Brooklyn accent - "American 234. How long have you had your pilot's license?

Got this from another instructor-

Yelling out the storm window, the student pilot yells “clear” for the first few lessons or so (doing as his instructor told him to do). The next flight the student yells “cloudy!” :)

Haha!
