Plane XYZ: "A couple of my favorite measurements, 36-24 plane XYZ" Approach: "Oh man, I can't even repeat that!" Followed by some good chuckles. |

in the late 90's my fathers company had a king air. we were leaving Ft Worth Allianca after the Nascar race at TX motor speedway....airport is about 3 miles from the racetrack so everyone going to the race was at alliance.... everyone is talking to ground getting taxi clearance (mainly jets and professional pilots)
Pilot in a v tail bonanza calls ground.... Ground bonanaza N1234 uhhh ready static.....taxi.....static.....information.....sta tic.... Bonanza N1234 unreadable, say again.. A few years back, I was climbing out of PHX with approach control. I heard approach issue a clearance to a Gulfstream to climb to FL230. The gulfstream captain came back and said, "Roger Climb and maintain.....Hey Don't you touch that, don't you ever touch that again, ...FL230, Gulfstream XXXXX." The controller asked if everything was alright and if he could provide any assistance. This captain replied, " Can you help me find a new CO-pilot?"
