Reminds me of a story I heard a Vietnam Era F-4 driver tell one time. He said he saw the telephone poll size missle heading right for him. When it hit, both engines caught fire, every light on the annunciator panel lit up, he move the stick to the left--nothing, moved it to the right--nothing. He said, "I knew it was time to get out." You think?

Fortunately he live to tell the tale so I guess it could have be worse.
