O'hare Viewing Area

I don't think O'Hare has a dedicated viewing area. If you're taking pictures then the perimeter roads are probably as close as you are going to get, but the airport Rent-A-Cops sometimes kick people off of those too. Chicago isn't very spotter friendly. Or people friendly.

O'hare did have a public viewing area but it was closed off during the 1980's.
It was in terminal 2 over the gate areas where the E and F concourses split off. It was complete with those viewing scopes like those that are at most sight seeing locations. When I was a kid ( A LONG time ago) My friends and I used to ride our bikes to the airport and, believe it or not, lock our bikes up right in front of the terminal and walk straight up there and watch the show.
Can you imagine the huge breach of security that would be these days?
