Summer Internship for college student
I live in Dallas in the summer. I plan to drive around tomororrow, hit up 7bar and associated and everything at KDAL. Then head up to addison and see if theres anything. I'm looking more of a 'real' job than being bi*ch boy to clean up trash because I have other opportunities for this summer, I'd just rather do things that are aviation-related. Yes, it would be easier to email the places I listed, but I got some cool business cards I have from something I do at school so I want to throw those around!
If anyone knows of anything, or has any suggestions, let me know.

I think internships take time to be accepted in, I don't think you can't just walk in. Try working at the airport. Menziesaviation.com then click north america on the world map to see if they have an airport in your area. Guaranteed that they will accept you for a ramp job.

Get a job with FDX as a Ramp Rat.
A college graduate just moved into my apartment recently. He worked for FDX throughout his entire four years of college, starting as a sorter and eventually working his way up to a delivery driver. He's now working as a computer programmer for FDX here in MEM making some good cash for being right out of college. He also works from home... FDX is paying for the kid to go to graduate school... he's driving a new Volvo... life is good for the guy.

PS: I put in one year of part-time with FDX at the Ft. Worth Alliance HUB. I managed to lose about 20 pounds; got pretty buff in the process; and had a pretty good time.

All that's left to do is pick which gang colors to wear to work. I think you may be right that they will hire ANYONE, they have less than a stellar reputation in Seattle.
