FedEx hiring this summer
Sat in on a "meet and greet" recently. Got a little intel, nothing that the grapevine doesn't already know, just conferming from a higher source. Hired our first class directly into the MD-11 on Monday, all ANC based. Didn't know this, this was the first NH class since January. Hiring expected to be slower than expected through the summer (by the street ) due to training NH's into Mad Dog. Shoud pick up in the fall when NH's go the normal route via the 727 FE. Meet and greets ending soon (heard that before) and pool full enough for now. Guessing "poolies" to dry out over the summer and fall than more interviews in the fall (my understanding).

New Hire classes
Any word on how many in the class and if they were sticking to one newhire class per month? I've been in the pool since January, wondering if I may be there until September or beyond....
Cheers!

DC,
How soon are the M&G ending?
What would be the new process? Any intel?
Thanks,

Looks like I have a while to wait...
I have my online app in with FedEx and have recommendations, but no sponsor yet. All of my buds have one or two people ahead of me so I have to wait. What are my chances of getting a meet & greet before year's end providing that I can get a sponsor in one or two months.
I have a feeling that I'll be working for the simulator contractor here on base for at least a year or so at this rate.
Any thoughts or estimates? Thanks in advance.

Thing is, Meet and Greets are a creation of our current CP, and he steps down this summer. Who knows after that? New CP might change the policy. Also, they seem to be interviewing and building a pool with guys that already have had M&G's that might fulfill all the numbers for a while.
So it is anyone's guess at this point.
It is true, though, no SBI at the interview anymore....
