Default Airport Security?

The presidential Candidates claimed our airports are safer tonight in the debate! I disagree 100%. The TSA are a bunch of Ghetto fools who have no clue, I have so many stories that it would take a thesis to post on here. I am afraid the next president regardless of who it is, will overlook all my brothers, and sisters flying in our skies@@@ any thoughtsss??????

Do you really think either Candidate has actually experienced the TSA and "Airport Security?" They are so very disconnected from the rest of us...They couldn't possibly have a clue.

I give these people a hard time whenever they do their random inspections. I ask for IDs, reason for inspections and questions of what they are looking for and where. Before they make it in the plane, I tell them to ask for the captain's permission to get onboard the aircraft before inspection. I also ask that a supervisor is present.

Meeko, I propose that you go to the puzzle palace and teach all new hires a class on this. You can be my FO any day.

Within the last week alone, TSA has arrested 18 suspicious passengers, found 25 firearms, and 2 other concealed weapons. Someone is doing their job.

A battery of tests by more robust and long-standing government organizations would prove that the list of things that you've written here about them finding in the past week was only about one third of what went through security.

They are inept.

I agree, but they are catching weapons. They are doing some good. Things could be a lot better. With the government in charge, it will never get better.

My point is more that the threat is out there and it is real. TSA is better than nothing.

so how many of those people they caught with weapons were terrorists? how many just didn't know the rules? if everyone who brought a weapon on board an airplane was a terrorist, then by the test results, planes would be coming down all over the place, since they only catch 1/3 of the weapons that pass through...

That is exactly why I say, Lets privatize the TSA... Let the good ole capitalist US economy force higher standards. It has worked in the past... I am talking about higher standards, better training, and making each airport require the same stuff... Right now, too much is up to the individuals interpretation.
