Default How to Land a 747

From a newsletter to which I subscribe- enjoy

This web site is a three-part video from Virgin Atlantic Airlines, shown in and out of the cockpit, about a 747-400 flight from London's Heathrow Airport to San Francisco. Preflight is the center video, taxi and takeoff is the bottom video and landing is the one at the top of the screen. Each part lasts about ten minutes and in that format you don't have to watch the entire thing at once. They are most interesting.

How You Land a 747...If you've got a few minutes you might enjoy seeing what goes on in the "Front Office" while landing a Boeing 747:

Ohh whatta wuzz pax or not. He didn't disconnect the autopilot till about 400 AGL and it was a nice VFR day. If it would have been me, SFO would have prob give me a turning shuttle approach at night with the noise restriction over the bridge. I guess that is what I get for flying a freighter.
