Default SFO Slamdunk

Hopped on a WN flight for a daytrip to San Fran, yesterday. Been about 4 years since I last traveled through SFO, and same length of time since I last rode on WN.

Approached from the SE passing just to the south of OAK and landed on 28L, but it sure felt like a bit of a slam dunk arrival. Any of you guys know if this is typical for arrivals into SFO? It's been so long since I've last been to SFO that I can't recall if I experienced the same thing. Wx was clear with light winds.

Also, we descended pretty fast as we approached the bay area....the cabin vertical speed was pretty noticeable for the descent into the area. Maybe due to terrain restraints around the bay?
