Default Hotel Towels

Ok, so if I am willing to post a question on how fighter pilots go pee pee, I should have no qualms to ask how often you change the towels in your hotel room. My husband and I stayed at a very posh 4 star hotel in Krakow. Like all modern hotels, it had a sign in the bathroom encouraging us to re-use our towels, and that we should hang them back up. Otherwise, putting them on the floor meant we wanted new ones.

Well, we hung ours up each and every day, but on the 4th day, even the housekeeper couldn't take it anymore and gave us fresh ones. I must admit that eating a solid diet of sausages, potatoes, onion soup, more potatoes, cabbage, steamed potatoes, roasted potatoes, grilled potatoes, boiled potatoes and sausages made my husband give off a faintly sour smell. Fortunately, I don't smell.

I get 'em changed every day. I figure the hotel is charging me enough to wash them every day so why help increase their profit margine?

I lived in the same hotel room a couple months through training, had the towels changed every other day.. Now on the road I'm never in the same hotel two nights in a row! SO the question is, did the person in the room before me have their towels changed?

Oh geesh. ugh. I think I'll go now.

If I'm staying a just a few days, I leave the "do not disturb" sign on the door, and have the same towels for the duration. If I'm staying for four days or more, I get a serviced apartment with a kitchen and laundry so I still leave the DND sign on the door and wash the towels when they need it.

I put the do not disturb sign out and just use the towels there until I run out. I don't like people in my room when my things are there.

Don't have to be on first year pay to be a "cheap pilot" stealing towels.
Besides they are handy to have in the airport car to clean-up and to wipe the inside of windshied because the defroster doesn't work

Same here. I dont need my room cleaned every day I am there. If I am there for an extended period I will get it cleaned every 3-4 days and the towels will get changed then.
