1. What happens when the cash runs out ?
The program ends or the gov't authorizes more I guess

2. What happens when people default on the new loans for these cars?
I don't know. Did they not learn anything from the mortages?
At least the dealer wasn't trying to get my to buy a car out of my league unlike the last time I bought a house!

I heard that there was a $75 billion program to help those people who overextended themselves on the mortages.

Like him or not, Glenn Beck brings up a good point about this program regarding accessing cars.gov to participate in this program. Buyer beware.
