Windows 7 for 30 bucks
#1
Just had a buddy upgrade his netbook to windows 7 for 30 bucks, regularly 120.
If you have (or have access to) an .EDU email address you can upgrade to windows 7.
I have never seen it or used it but my buddy who has a netbook says that it is 10 times better than running XP and it is alot more optimized and functional on the machine. I carry a netbook around on the road for convenience and it would be nice to get rid of XP. Just thought id share the news.

Guess I'm the odd man out. I have Vista on my personal laptop and XP on the Company laptop. I'm actually OK with Vista. The only beef I have so far with Vista is trying to figure out where everything that I am accustomed to using on XP went. I know it's there. I just have to figure out where they hid it.
Mrs. Fan hit me up about going to W7 though. Maybe I'll do the research. Hate messing with something that works though.

Thank You Sir!
I finally found a useful purpose for my online degree!
BTW, you can get Windows 7 pro for the same price. Also, they advertise Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007 for 60 bucks when you're downloading (with a student account.)

) keep all of your settings and programs from Vista, if its a "custom install" then you have to reinstall your programs and redo your account settings etc.
