Narrows Landing Restaurant Closing
I just saw this in Craigslist. So sad. I would go and try to get the model biplane, but my coffee shop is open on the 28th and I won't be able to make it there in time. There are also some other stuff I'd like to get for my coffee shop. Anybody can go for me?

Golly that is a shame. I see it as another sign of the times. The reduced traffic at smaller general aviation airports around the country these days due to the cost of avgas and the recession putting a damper on places like this. People simply don't have the spare change to go to these places. And this place was good; I was there in September and had the daily special for a week solid with my crew. We are seldom going to see the likes of hometown airport luncheonettes like this as time goes on. Where else can you have a pastrami-on-rye with onion rings, and watch a family member or friend take a small airplane around the patch?
