By ERIC LONGABARDI and JOSEPH RHEE
Dec. 8, 2009

At least 12 members of Osama bin Laden's family currently hold Federal Aviation Administration pilot's licenses that make them eligible to fly aircraft anywhere in the United States, including three who received their licenses just this June, according to an analysis of FAA records provided to ABC News...

At least the TSA put their entire screening manual online where you can see all the redacted stuff. No one knows how to run things as efficiently as the government.

if uninvited guests slips through the white house security, it's not surprising at all that these people got past through the tsa alien flight school program. are we really safer now, three years after declaring the war was victorious?

So I guess Terry McViegh's relatives shouldn't be allowed to rent Ryder trucks? Or John Wilkes Booth's to attend plays?

There's been a lot of stuff lately on TV on how Hitler's descendants are still in hiding and/or have changed their names to cleanse the rest of the family of one man's actions. None of them remotely support the actions of their famous relative.

you have to remember that bin laden's family has disowned him. They to have a right to pursue a goal.

not to nitpick, but history must remain accurate. It was Timothy McVeigh. Terry Nichols was the convicted co conspiritor.

They absolutely do, however when it comes to national security and innocent lives...i tend to look over "Fair" and go with the safer route.

Edit:

There are always JAA licenses... Maybe

So what you are saying is that you are comfortable with restricting another person's rights based on your percieved unsecure feelings. Or to put it another way, it's OK to punish the son for the father's crime?

I'm not advocating a free pass to all, but how about we apply common sense and reasoned thinking to the National Security debate instead of knee jerk reactions and jingoistic feelings.

Of course they can, everyone has the right to pursue what ever it is they want,(even the gitmo prisoners who attacked the USA have rights) but if the goverment is really interested in capturing bin laden, maybe, just maybe our goverment can squeeze information out of the family...especially if they are pursuing a license to fly a plane that killed thousands of people on 911
