Guns!

Just bought a Springfield XD-9 about a week ago. Took it to the range on Sunday and put 300 rounds through it without a single hiccup. Very comfortable and accurate weapon. My soon to be father-in-law brought along his Glock 30, Walther PPK, and a S&W 1911. The 1911 is definitely my favorite, it's extremely accurate and doesn't kick too bad for a .45

Does anyone have a Ruger Mark iii? I just got one. It is a complete pain in the to disassemble. If you own one, have you noticed disassembly comes easier as the gun is broken in? It seems the mainspring pin is way too tight in the housing. Any ideas?

They are a pain to take apart. I just got mine a few weeks ago and I almost hate the thing because it's so difficult to take apart and clean. Go to Sturm, Ruger & Co., Inc. for the video to "help" you disassemble, but it's still no fun.

Just got back from shooting this past weekend. I went to a weekend long shooting course put on by the Revolutionary War Veterans Association called an Appleseed shoot.
I have been shooting for years and i can telling you it was a very humbling experience as well as a fun as hell one. I shot my Sabre Defence XR-15, which was amazing by the way, to extents that I never thought I could do. check out their website The Appleseed Project They are all over the country and they happen all the time. Its a great organization, its not full of crazies if you are worried about that, believe me I have a security clearance to worry about. Anybody can do it from first time shooters to guys who have been hunting ans shooting all your life.
Its a great time and I would recommend it to anyone!

Since I live downtown Atlanta (right by Turner Field) I have a few guns.
1. Beretta Tomcat .32 - for the days I just need to put one in my pocket when I'm wearing gym shorts.
2. Springfield XD-45 Service Edition (4 inch barrel) - Goes with me everywhere I go, and it is my pride and joy.
3. Mossberg 590 12 Gauge - For those days I need to chase would be thieves down the road, or seriously defend the homestead. Sometimes I sit on the front porch looking like Granny Clampit too. It's a favorite of mine. Love that gun!
Not bad for a regional F/O. haha
