Excel Logbook ok for airline interview?
I've been keeping my logbook on a Excel program I wrote, been using it for the past 8 years. It shows all times and catigories as the Jepp Master Logbook and then some. I've been out of the interview game for abpout 10 years. Has anyone here used something like this in an airline interview? Should I go through the process and write all enteries in a "paper" logbook or could I just print all the Excel pages take them to Staples and have them laminated and bound?

YES....is all I wanted to say(character count)
Ok let me clarify. You can record your pilot time on a napkin if you want, but that would'nt be very professional. So yes take your excel doc to kinkos and they can even reduce them to that 5x7 Pro log book type size, bind it all up in any color cover (I used blue) and it's all good.
good luck

I have used an excel logbook in two different interviews and it's never been an issue. As long as it looks presentable you should have no problem.
I printed out my "logbook" on good quality 8.5 x 11 paper in color laser. At the bottom of each page in the footer I printed out a signature line/box for me to date and sign along with the text verifying all entries are true (whatever the common text for a logbook is... I don't have it in front of me).
Once printed out, I simply slid the pages into plastic sheet covers and put them into a high end (read very nice looking professional presentation) 3 ring binder. This way as I add more pages to my logbook, I don't have to go to kinkos to have everything reprinted/bound.
