Lets keep it that way. An AA degree does not constitute "going to college" for 95% of employers and most Americans. Pay your dues. Yes, some guys get in at Continental without degrees...they are the exception and should never be the rule.

You boys are talkin` symantics here. Yes, as associate degree is a degree, but...it doesn`t mean a thing. It isn`t what the airlines are looking for. There are about a million guys (and gals) out there with a 4 year degree, plenty of hours, and a ticket full of ratings. Why would they settle for something that is an extention of high school? You might not like it, but that`s the way it is.

Wow, the AA degrees are taking a beating here

FWIW, I have an Associates in Av. Tech. plus another year of Univ. study. I've been w/ the FAA for 20 yrs as a controller, making over $140,000/yr. So, there are exceptions like me, but I feel I was very lucky - right place at the right time...


If I had it to do over again, I would finish and get a BS degree; maybe I will someday.
