It's even better when you pull the slow jet back to LRC.

Though, it's a little embarrassing when Center asks for your speed and you reply "uh... .57"

Reminds me of that joke about the C-5 asking the "little" 747 what his gross was, and the Captain quipped back "$275K/year, how about you?"

Big plane = big suitcase.

Advantages and disadvantages to both. I'll take the one that pays the most.

Talked to a guy who talked to the crew of a AN-225. Moscow to Houston for a whopping 17 hours. Do that a few of times a month and you can call it good.

Personally, I'll take the job that keeps me home the most. Anyone know what type spends the most time in the shop? Eclipse? 421? Duke? That's the plane I want to be paid to fly...or just paid to watch it in the shop. That's fine too.

HAH!

There are months I'm glad to be paid daily and there are months I wish we were paid hourly. The past two months are the latter.

If memory servers there was a Chinese 744-sp that broke 1.0 over the pacific after going into a dive. They managed to pull back out and limp on back home. Can't imagine the pressures on that big wing. Probably heard clear across the western hemisphere
