Bombers Move Out Of Plant 2
Very interesting pictures in the gallery.

A Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress and B-29 Superfortress moved out of Boeing's legendary Plant 2 for the last time Saturday.
Boeing moved out the Museum of Flight's B-17, B-29 and Lockheed Super Constellation to make way for demolition of the plant as part of a cleanup of the Duwamish watershed.
The airplanes were towed across East Marginal Way South to Boeing Field and then down to the museum, which is south of Plant 2, beside the airport.
The Super Constellation was towed back across East Marginal Way South Sunday morning to the museum's Airpark. Its outer wing panels, propellers and spinners were left off of the plane for the move, and will be reinstalled soon.
The B-29 was moved to a ramp outside of Hangar 7 at Galvin Aviation and will be stored temporarily in the Galvin Hangar. The B-17 is being stored in a hangar at Clay Lacy Aviation.

RIP Hangar 2. After the war my grand dad used to pick up B-17s from there that didn't make it overseas and deliver them to Arizona to have the armament stripped, at least I remember him saying he did.
The B-17 and B-29 should be kept airworthy and be flying. Would be great to see them at airshows. Imagine FiFi, DOC and this B-29 doing some formation flying.
