Save a 727.

Anyone see this page on Airliners or Facebook? I don't have Facebook, but I had my wife log in so I could check it out. Thoughts?

It would be great if you could add this airplane to the list of historical airliners that are still flightworthy, it is a gorgeous airplane, but I hear that JT8D's are the most costly thing on this airframe by far, and of course you have no engines on this airplane. You would seem well advised to come up with a plan for some engines pretty soon.

Hello,
The JT8s do carry a hefty price tag. This is the next major phase being started now that the current owner of the aircraft has agreed to allow one 727, either N511DA or N512DA, to go to this project.
Can you imagine seeing this bird at your local airshow? Up the rear stairs. Into the cabin. Watching a flying demonstration.
Thank you for bringing this project up!
