I was at March when we got the first KC10's. Even the avionics bays were clean! I could take students under the deck in my instructor short sleeve blues and come out spotless!
The "new a/c smell" was a first for me in the Force.

Default Newest Plane flown

First company revenue flight – 757-300 and my first flight in the -300 to LGA. Passengers still put their feet on the walls and leather seats and left trash everywhere.

Got to fly an ATR-72 (Simmons Airlines @ ORD) that was still on log page #1. Probably had less than 50hrs.TT, which included the ferry time from Toulouse, France. Nothin' like it (to fly a NEW aircraft). I was the first officer....never done it as a Captain. Good chance it'll never happen for me again, but I look forward to the possibility....

My wife must have been on that flight. I swear my car/Mooney is her litter box.

I was getting off a flight a few weeks ago, and the guy behind me wadded up his trash and just stuck in in the seat pocket. While we were standing around waiting to get off I loudly announced that he had "forgotten" to clean up after himself. He shot me a dirty look that his 5'8" 140# frame couldn't back up, and walked off the plane carrying his crap.

Got to pick up a f-16 from the factory back in 95. Had like 3.7 hours on it. Jumped in and two-hopped to northern japan. Good times...

Flew many MD80s just a few days old as they came on line.
Most noticable thing to me was the clean red grease on the landing gear zerks.
Some of the new planes did not fly perfectly straight. Probably needed a trip through the rigging shop so the old pros could rig them up properly.

Many aircraft new from the Piper Factory, I think 4.7 was the lowest hobbs I'd seen.

Lowest TBM850 was around 20hrs by the time the get it to us in the states.
