Exactly, what can a watch do that a cell phone can't?

My $350 pilot stud watch turned into a grossly over-engineered kitchen timer. I think watches are going out of style these days. Mine makes high-precision omelets. I guess the chicks I have over for supper can tell what a stud I am by how well-timed their supper is.

Since you're asking what I would do, I would save my money until I could afford something from Breitling, Omega, Rolex or Tag. Yeah I know they're just bling but I'm a sucker for a well machined piece of metal that happens to keep good time. I have a Breitling Colt quartz that keeps time to within 2 seconds per year. Superb watch and worth every penny.

If you insist on sticking with the $100 budget get the G-Shock. Quartz accuracy and damn near indestructable. Looks like crap though.
