If you could have any type rating, what would it be and why?

737 because it could pay for itself.

B-29 because it would be fun.

Su-31 because it would be real fun.

STS Orbiter because it would look good on the resume.

No one type would cover but the short list is:

DC-3..one of the most nostalgic tailwheels around
Connie..one of the most majestic airliners that ever flew
B747..they can keep the 380...there is nothing more impressive flying today
DHC-8..because it pays my salary

Do you need a type rating for an F-4 if the back seat is empty?

Didn't the Ford Tri-Motor start mass air travel? You can get a type at www.fordtyperatings.com
