crazy thing yesterday at FL370. We got cut off by a unicorn, ya a unicorn! We reported it, filled out a report, but it is hush. We landed on runway 27, almost hitting bigfoot in the tdze area, very close call. While we were saying bye to the pax, I also noticed the hottest lesbian (um homosexual) woman ever to walk the earth. It was a crazy day, but I kept thinking, well, at least we have a pilot shortage coming.

I was shocked that the name "Kit Darby" was nowhere to be found in the article.
What a fluff piece of garbage non-story that was...
Just watch, "Fair Treatment For Experienced Pilots Act II, Electric Boogaloo" coming soon to avoid the 'Great Pilot Shortage' that will *never* happen.

My question is, do the people that support and write about this pilot shortage actually believe it or are they just that skeezy in thinking they will attract more dumb people to the job? I mean, I don't even see why something like this would be in the news paper. Do you think anyone that isn't a pilot actually read it and gave a crap?
So obviously it's geared towards a specific audience. Like dumb kids with way too much money that think being a pilot is just plain old cool and gets you laid.

Parents who would know junior would love to be a big time airline pilot, and it would make them proud to rob a few dollars from their IRA, 401(k), inheritance, rich relative, home loan, etc. to fund it.
Obviously, they won't know what a small chance there is of making enough money to pay all that back. They sort of left that out of the article.
Even if they had huge warnings, THESE JOBS DON'T PAY LIKE THEY USED TO !!!, it wouldn't matter. Just read here.

As a friend of my father's used to say--"the Captain's job pays a Cadilliac a month". That was in the late 60s, maybe early 70's; how far off that are we?
Well, a cheap Caddy must be $45,000. Any airline guys making that nowadays?
