JAL CEO video - I know it is Old news....
I know that it is old video, old news, but definitely an inspiring story......
I am sure a lot of the folks here must have seen this & talked about it...
When is the last time you saw such a CEO - YouTube
I think, it won't be a bad idea to send this to the CEO's of CAL, DAL, AMR all others.
May be they can learn a thing or two....

A couple of things about this video that's been posted about 3 times- there are a lot of CEO's that make $1 salaries. They're not poor though. The company takes great care of them. Show me that he lives like someone making $90,000. And I mean live... lived... like a person making $90,000 living in a home of a person that only makes $90K and his retirement is not a golden parachute but rather on par for someone who has only made $90K. Then I'll buy off.
Forgive me if I keep my distance from cheering a TV spot on by CNN. Something that ran (YEARS AGO) to counter American CEO salaries and did little to provide a full verification of the image. Rather, this simple fit their template and support congressional efforts to bludgeon CEOs. No offense, but the company is willing to pay $250M to an idiot to run their own company that's their own stupid fault. But where does it stop? When do they pull airline pilots in and ask them why they think they're worth two to three hundred thousand dollars in pay while people doing their same job, truck driving or bus driving make less... well, unless they drive for a city. But the point is, congress questioning CEO's for their greed is sickening. CONGRESS? WAXMAN?
By the way JAL went bankrupt anyways.
In a similar vein I remember people proclaiming Gordon Bethune was an employees CEO and just great! All while at the same time ignoring he was an ass and despite the sticker on the side of the plane it sucked to work at CAL. I mean the good thing for Gordon was he was a bulldog for his airline and employees... in that order. When contract time came he was not your friend.
Forgive me for not championing the "employee's CEO". I'm thinking too often it's a sleight of hand. I don't think anyone takes on that type of job and all the responsibility and really wants to or is in reality nothing more than the average middle management nobody. And if they're worth it, they should be treated appropriately. And if their a great person they can keep their ego in check.
