Many, many years ago, sitting in a DC8 at the gate in SFO, F. Lee Baily came to the cockpit, sniffing around and asked if there were any Marines up there. I told him that I flew F8Us in the Corps. He told me that he flew Corsairs (F4Us) in Korea. We shot the breeze for awhile, I said "hey Lee, give me some free legal advice". He said " I`ll give you the best advice that I could give to anyone, and I ain`t gonna charge you a dime...if you are ever in trouble, keep your mouth shut". I`ve never had to use his advice, but I keep those words handy anyway.

That is a beautiful nugget. It applies to the innocent as well as the guilty.
Any criminal lawyer worth his salt will tell you the same thing. Semper Fidelis.
