Default Fighter Jet Over Our House

Well, I just let my little dog out the backyard to pee when a large fighter jet flew by on its way back to McChord. The noise was so loud and terrifying, the house shook and my dog thought a giant velociraptor was going to pluck him away for dinner. He was in his pee stance (and actually midstream) when he turned his head to look up at the bird. Where's my camera when I need it!

As the duty officer in a fighter squadron, I once had a Lady call in to claim that one of our fighters had flown so low over her house that she could touch it.

I told her to keep her hands off government property.

"Ma'am, could you give me the fin flash or any identification numbers?"

"Oh, it was too high to read!"

We were out in the neighborhood & heard that airplane. It looked like a single-ship F-18 or EA-18 Growler maybe. Impressively, it sounded louder than the Prowlers which sometimes show up in the McChord pattern.
