I bet it annoys you even more when they give it to us.
Certainly doesn’t bother me. But a direct routing isn’t always best based on winds. But maybe on your short sectors it can shave seconds off a flight. What also is annoying in the busy sectors is when the Southwest guys check in with “ southwest xxx with you at three five ooooooooo, getting a bit of chop how are rides ahead, looking for direct down the road and how y’all doin today?” CPDLC domestic can’t come along soon enough. I won’t even mention the Southwest crews at the Manhattan hotel. |

It doesn’t. I’m projecting. Anyone with Captain their “handle” is probably isn’t happy unless they’re doing .78 with their hair on fire. If we fly together and I ask for a wind check on final, are you going to debrief the flight while the hotel shuttle drives off into the sunset without us and give me a lecture on how we already have the atis and a wind check is unnecessary?
