Right, because unlike any of those examples you stated it is perfectly normal for an FO to let another pilot call them Captain. You must have been one of those FO assistant Chief pilot tools that thought everyone should address them as “Sir”.

Still find it weird that you would address someone as "captain" who did not introduce themself as such. If that makes me the weirdo toolbag, then so be it. I've been called worse by better.

It’s called respect and it is a professional title. It’s also earned. I think it’s weird that someone would call from a company, identify themselves as from the CP’s office, and not correct me. Then call me suspicious in an arrogant tone. Maybe nurses can start promoting themselves to doctor and replace that valve I need taken care of. A previous poster said it well when they described smug FO’s prancing around job fairs with an air of superiority while the Captains are chill and humble. Ze best were the Gulfstream FO’s in fitted shirts at S FL job fairs in the mid 2000’s.

Oh well excuse her for wanting to make this planet a healthy place to live on. Wanna see what this place will be in 10 years? Go huff your cars exhaust for an hour and come back to tell us how you feel.

I would be dead. We're all going to be dead in 10 years? Holy crap! If you cared so much, you wouldn't make a living burning copious amounts of fossil fuel.

I don’t like this argument I’ve seen here a couple times now. This is a ridiculous statement. I think it’s childish , near sighted, and distracts from the real issues. You can be an airline pilot and still feel that we as humans need to work towards a greener future. Quitting won’t stop that airplane from flying.

Why is there no middle ground? What the hell happened to reasonable compromise? This is the problem with our country.

Claiming the world will end in 10 years is middle ground?
