Thought for the Day

"Love easily confuses us because it is always in flux between illusion and substance, between memory and wish, between contentment and need."

"Love - a wildly misunderstood although highly desirable malfunction of the heart which weakens the brain, causes eyes to sparkle, cheeks to glow, blood pressure to rise, and the lips to pucker."
Love is the beauty of the soul.
LOVE: bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things and never ends.
Happy Valentine’s Day! APC

“The only bubble in the flat champagne of February is Valentine’s Day. It was no accident that our ancestors pinned Valentine’s Day on February’s shirt: he or she lucky enough to have a lover in frigid, antsy February has cause for celebration, indeed.”

This man beside us also has a hard fight with an unfavouring world, with strong temptations, with doubts and fears, with wounds of the past which have skinned over, but which smart when they are touched. It is a fact, however surprising. And when this occurs to us we are moved to deal kindly with him, to bid him be of good cheer, to let him understand that we are also fighting a battle; we are bound not to irritate him, nor press hardly upon him nor help his lower self.

Morning is not only a sunrise…
but a beautiful miracle of nature…
That defeats darkness…
And spreads light…
but a beautiful miracle of nature…
That defeats darkness…
And spreads light…

Something a little different today:
A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds.
'What does love mean?'
The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined.
Touching words from the mouth of babes.
'When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.' Billy - age 4
'Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.' Karl - age 5
'Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.’ Terri -age 4
'Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.' Bobby - age 7
'Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday.’ Noelle- age 7
'Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.' Elaine-age 5
The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry , the
little boy went into the old gentleman's yard , climbed onto his lap , and just sat there. When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor , the little boy said , 'Nothing , I just helped him cry'
