Question re: Landing Gear
Hi, all. Very interesting forum. Not a pilot here, but I have a question. Can anyone tell me approximately what percentage of contemporary piston planes and turboprops have double wheel configurations on their wing-mounted landing gear? And conversely, about what percentage of small jets have only single wheels all around? I need this detail for part of a film script. Many thanks!

Greetings, all:
CFI/CFII/MEI with 1100 TT, and 130 ME hours, teaching at a flight school in the DFW area. Looking to go cargo or corporate as soon as I hit 1200 (can't seem to find any available FO jobs). No aspirations of flying airlines, unless they change the rule on beards. Glad to be a part of this community. |

Hello everyone. I’m a 42 year old engineer looking for a career change when my daughter can start driving in 4 years. I fly my own 182 and also help out part time with a pipeline/survey company. I just clocked over 1200 hours and hope to start working on my ATP next year. Not so excited to burn cash on building 30 more hours of multi. I have learned a lot from these forums.

My background is single pilot night freight and I love every minute of it. I look forward to making new friends on here! ~B |
