Hello everyone. My job right now is a customer service representative. I am planning to make aviation one of my chosen career fields; there has been delays since someone told me to be in aviation I need to have 20/20 vision. My right eye has an Anisometropic Amblyopia. My recent visit with the eye doctor told me by wearing eye glasses my vision can be 20/40 at best but not 20/20. So I might need to post a question regarding that in this professional website.
I have a dominant introvert personality.

Hello,
I am a first officer flying CRJs for a "regional" in the USA. I put quotes around regional, as we fly coast to coast (not in one leg, but we do go to CA, WA, NY, and FL), as well as some Canada, and Mexico.

My name is Andy Downs and I have been in commercial aviation for over 20 years. I have owned and operated 135 and 121 operations as well as ground handling operations for scheduled cargo operators.
I am currently producing a documentary film about my father's hijacking and death in 1971. He was the first captain killed in a US hijacking Oct 4, 1971 flying a Hawk Commander from BNA to JAX.
I lecture across the country about PIC rights and the lack of knowledge that law enforcement has in handling aviation crisis situations.
My recent article in AVSEC International Magazine is called "Pilots Not In Command"
