The State Fair of Texas turned into Burning Man. Big Tex, the 52 foot statue of a cowboy that greets visitors at the fair, caught fire and burned to his frame.

I was out of tickets when I saw the Chicken Fried Bacon. There's always next year.
It's a big deal with the vendors to see who can come up with the most outrageous item to fry. It was a couple years ago when they came out with fried beer.
