Red Tails by far because of what it could have been compared to what it was. Script was an after thought and everything was CGI. Terrible. George Loucus is washed up

No one has mentioned Ground Control yet?

4 minutes and 39 seconds of pure awesomeness:

Behind the enemy lines - YouTube

The only mistake I see here, and this is going out on a limb, is that the parachute is in Italian colors.

Owen Wilson plays the backseater, doesn't he? The front seater gets executed after they eject.

Firedbirds---- And I am an Army helicopter background, but the acting was absolutely terrible. Some of the actual flying scenes were good, but overall, not a great flying movie.

If this was an Army answer to Top Gun, we failed miserably...

Final Descent (1997) starring Robert Urich, so incredibly bad that it is a "must see" for all airline pilots.

There was one (TV movie) ten years or so ago about a controller going postal. He actually invented a ray gun that could knock tower facilities offline. The hero was an NTSB guy whose gf dies in a crash near the start of the show.

Was it Die Hard II that dealt with terrorists taking over the airport, dialing in a new glide angle for the ILS? Remember the manhole cover sized overwing fuel cap on the 747?

These two were so bad they were funny. John Wayne playing Genghis Khan looked like an Oscar winner next to these dogs.

Don't forget the C-130 ejection seat and the trail of jet fuel that acts like a line of gun powder (Wile E. Coyote, eat your heart out) "catching up" to the bad guy's airplane, blowing it up as it rotates.

Actually, it was a C-123 Provider (note: no ejection seats in it, either!), but yes, flame propagation speeds in the movie were a bit enhanced.
