No kidding - anyone who hasn't done that at least once (probably a number of times) without using any sort of substance probably hasn't been doing this long enough or hard enough. Heck, there have been times I've woken up not quite certain what continent I'm on.

Saw the flick last night , overall good movie, more about a man with a drinking problem more than the incident itself.

Over good movie worth seeing. And Denzel did a amazing job as an actor as always....

The first seen was pretty intense .

You answered your own question. 50% of the American public are in the bottom-half of the intelligence curve.

It is based my own knowledge of hearing a story of a captain at rehab who when flying he would have to look at the phone book on the nightstand to figure out what city he was in.
I lost track a long time ago of the number of times I had to peel back the curtain in the hotel room and look outside, to remember what country I was in...and I don't drink.

There's something about waking up after too little, fitful sleep, thinking about the household chores to that day, looking outside, and thinking "Aw, crap. I'm in Hong Kong."

Look forward to seeing it not only for the story which seems compelling, but for the view of Denzel.

Was hoping it was going to be like Training Day, except at an airline, has to show the ropes to a new F/O.

i personally enjoyed the movie, def makes you think twice before knocking a couple down on a short overnight. good acting, realistic, and really shows how real and hard addiction can be.

Thanks for the "Flight Review" guys! (and gals). I was skeptical about seeing this but after reading the comments on this thread, I think we'll give it a whirl before he heads off to the next base.
I'll give you my 2 cents from a helicopter pilot perspective....hopefully Denzel won't show up in a movie about slinging christmas trees anytime soon (wink wink, say no more)

The other thing is looking at a poster three feet wide by four feet tall in front of a jury specifying everything you had since you showed up at the bar that night (this was actually used at trial with pilots employed by a 121 carrier - a blown up copy of the receipt complete with signature and time). Have a nice jpeg of it we show in human factors class.
