The sex part of this whole thing is just for public show and amounts to nothing.
When was the last time you saw a public official purged for sex, or even running a brothel?
The real subject involves jobs given, people murdered and blame displaced, but you are not going to hear about that-it is not for public consumption and will take place behind closed doors.

And trying to place blame just continues
Sure, for brain dead types that thrive on such soap opera drama and buy into distraction, etc.
News flash, powerful men exercise poor judgment with sexual indiscretions. And as I said, there's a whole slew of women that exercise that SAME poor judgment behind everyone one of them.
It's NOTHING new, and all the reasons behind have been beat to death and covered ad nauseam on (gender relations study/human behavior study/female day time talk show, etc here).

Don't be too harsh; there's a lot of money in that business. The real brain dead are the ones who spend money reading about it. Just wasting time talking / posting about it is no biggie - I hope.

I've met her in person, and my wife actually shares my opinion. I'm fully aware of all the stuff she does, she's the perfect senior-officer wife, but I certainly NEVER wanted one of those....maybe deep-down Petraeus didn't either.
Great lady I'm sure, but I can see why Petraeus (or anyone else) might be tempted to stray when confronted with a choice of Holly vs. Broadwell.
I didn't say it was right or justified, But I understand how it happened. My opinion, or yours, or the FBIs, or anyone else's is totally irrelevant on that subject...that's between the two people involved and them alone.
EDIT: Looking at the news this morning, it seems like Petraeus is in agreement with you.

All I said is that I'M giving the general a pass on this. Whether you, his wife or anyone else does that is entirely your business.
But I don't think this behavior (assuming no security violations) justifies him losing his job...but that's the way the game works these days.

Hey genius, you don't know me or my situation. My wife and I have been through quite a lot together (more than you can imagine, but that's several long stories) and are not going to be getting divorced over sex.

Re: "Tarnished Brass"
Is that what the kids are calling "hookups" these days?
Was it the Illuminati reptilians, the imaginary boogymen you condescendingly brandish as a form of internet scolding to dismiss and ridicule the people with whom you don't agree? No? Well how about a cartoon then?
