Default BFR question

Let's say I do a BFR in a multi-engine land aircraft.
That covers my ASEL, right?

How about an ASES (seaplane rating)?

Look at FAR 61.56 for the inside story, I think it says the BFR is good for "aircraft" and does not break it down into categories and classes.

(c) Except as provided in paragraphs (d), (e), and (g) of this section, no person may act as pilot in command of an aircraft unless, since the beginning of the 24th calendar month before the month in which that pilot acts as pilot in command, that person has...

The BFR won't make you current, such as to carry passengers in the ASEL/ASES though. Still gotta do those landings in class.
