Default Rise above

I want to run through the halls of my high school. I want to scream at the top of my lungs. I just found out there was no such thing as the real world, just a lie you've got to rise above.

I would help but my assigned job today is to be a kid wrangler.

Make sure you sit those kids down sometime during the day and tell them to only direct their lives based on money. Don't let them dream of anything other than making money. And tell them if they ever spend money on training or enrichment that they subsequently stop using, make sure they know to regret it for years afterward until they are so bitter that it eats them up inside.

Sky:

Rise above the lies and go have yourself a glass of wine if you haven't already polished off the bottle. Eat until you are stuffed today and make sure you take yourself a nap. Put the kids to bed early and make mad passionate love to your wife tonight. So you are not seen as a horn dog, get her some flowers beforehand so she sees the sensitive, lovable and romantic side of you.

You can go to your high school and act like an as$ tomorrow.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I really think you should credit the author, John Mayer. His first album is great with several songs that express the angst of twenty somethings. It seems you relate to them.

I intend to remind them that life has it price. Money isn't everything but it sure comes in handy. As for myself, just because I have a different opinion doesn't mean that I am bitter. My message might be a buzz kill for the deluded but since my aim is to save others some misery to me it is positive.

In addition I will also tell me kids not to expect me to finance a four year party at college to study a useless major. I would rather they blow their 20's smoking pot on a pot ski hill than in a disease infested dorm wasting my money and theirs. Whatever it is that they intend to follow if they want my help it had better make sense to me. A part of my responsibility as a parent is to insure that they are able to become self sufficient.
