Default Honeymoon Non-Rev

Am I an idiot if I try to non-rev to our honeymoon? Coming up in August, so it'd be peak travel season, but there are several ways to get to where Id like to go and I just thought I could save alot of cash by non revving.

Anyone have prior experiences?

If I have something I absolutely cannot miss I just buy the ticket. Especially if you have paid for something like a honeymoon. It's supposed to be stress free. I would want to know I am going to be on the flight, and not have to stress about it.

I bought tickets for the honeymoon and am glad I did. Wedding and family is so stressful you want stress free... Yes it's cheaper to roll the dice, but not a good way to start the marriage. At LEAST buy tickets to and try to non-rev home if money is that tight.

It all depends on where and when.

Personally I wouldn't try to non-rev to a typical honeymoon destination in Aug.

A few hundred dollars is a small price to pay to avoid hearing her gripe the rest of your married life about how YOU screwed up the honeymoon.

Without a doubt, buy tickets.

Lifetime spent non-revving, bought positive space to Maui, talked with the lead FA during pre-boarding, got a bottle of bubbly. This was in '01. Congrats!

Yeah, and you'll never hear the last of it. Ever.

And if you don't get on the flight, you'll wind up consummating the marriage behind an empty ticket counter.

Not that you'll be getting any.
