I've heard from a couple guys that the ATP grads they've flown with are kinda dumb.. as in they dont know how to do a hold, or apply basic part 91 regs, et cetera.

Kilo alpha I haven't ever spoken to any ATP grads, you may be right but from the word on these forums, its a pretty sucessfull route. Do you work for colgan?

Unfortunately, yes

On the ATP note, I did have one in my newhire class. He did fine. From my prospective, it just seems like ATP tries to do too much in too little time. Remember back to your CFI notes, perception is influenced by time and experience.. not all of which can be jammed into one's head in 3 months

ahhh It's one of the regionals im going to apply to, as I live in new york. I see you guys flying around all the time while im in my cessna.

im actually finishing up my commercial right now, considering ATP's 14 day CFI program. However I have always been good with flying a lot in a short amount of time and self studying.

I know a person that did ATP and was very unhappy. He has since gone to American Flyers and has nothing but good things to say about that program.

american flyers, thats where i'm at now josh. same story..mostly good things about them.. although i did have an instructor for my instrument trarining..who i actually teached holds to.

It has its pros and cons.. i'm just kicking myself (hard) for passing on XJT job and Wiskey interview for Colgan (like I said, kicking very hard). As the old saying goes, "Upgrades come and go.."

and they went; doh!
now I'm just hopin to get on with RAH after my contract is up.
