Tips for getting sleep schedule normal
Anyone have tips for getting your sleep schedule back to normal ? I have always had trouble sleeping, but it is starting to really affect me. I will end up not getting to sleep until very late, and sleep half the day away when I don't need to wake up. Very annoying.

I use melatonin pretty frequently to get normal. Only need about a milligram though, which means I split a 3 mg tablet into a few pieces (smallest dose I could find). Works great with no dependency or hangover the next morning.

It sucks but wake up when you would want to normally, no naps, and turn off the tv/computer/iphone and lay in bed until you fall asleep. Melatonin isn't bad to help out. Also try some exercise sometime in the day. I find the morning workout keeps my energy stabilized through the day and then ready to crash around 9 if I wake up around 0600-0700.

Sleep when you can, don't when you can't.
I've tried all kinds of methods, but won't use sleep aids and medications.
I've tried staying awake and delaying rest, but the only thing I've been able to determine after many years of working both sides of the clock across numerous time zones and continents is that one needs to sleep when one can, and to take advantage of it.
I have yet to come to an understanding of what represents a "normal sleep schedule."

I have the same problem. As much as it sucks the best way is to get up early on the days you don't have to. It will keep your sleep cycle constant.

Agreed! I figure my body can figure it all out.
