Default Nastiest Aircraft You've Flown In?

Well, thread is pretty straight forward. Go.

Mine? Hmm. Well I love the plane to death, it's getting me through my flight training, but the rental plane I'm using is so dirty, I've found half-eaten Chinese food in it before. In fact today I found water inside the rudder!

Just about any older training plane would fit in this category. I never have understood why people dont take the 30 seconds needed to clean out their trash from rentals. There's nothing like having to fly in a 150 or 152 that some poor private pilot student barfed in recently. Of course, I have also found an interesting collection of sunglasses, ball-point pens, knee boards, cross country flight plans, post-it note pads, foggles and other assorted items in rental planes.

My nastiest plane was a Baron my friend purchased in Maine.... we flew the thing all the way back to CA wondering what the heck this horrid smell was... turned out to be a rotten liverwurst sandwich someone left in a seat pocket. Not to mention the mystery stains all over the interior. Hopefully it wasn't one of those "Mile High" planes.

I flew a bunch of crap but the worst was a Banner towing -Pa-12 that was nasty looking and smelling. It always ran well for me but I had a hard time with the Milkcrate I sat on....

For an airline seat, it was a Horizon CRJ: torn seats, broken seats, torn/trashed carpet, dirty plastic, scratched window. Just generally not taken care of.

Was afraid to take my shoes off during the flight!

I just experienced something similar in an "Air One" 734 (Italy). the seats and seat-pockets were torn and the emergency evacuation slide (do you call it that?) was not atached to the door but lying around the galley. people were stepping on it all the time. Oh, and yeah, they didn't close the cokpit door... Was a fun flight with a friendly crew though.

Default PeeeeUUuu!

1982 - PrinAir - flight from St Thomas to San Juan, no air conditioning on the plane and the Rastafarian sitting next to hadn't bathed in days. There were animals in the cabin that stunk as well. Really the only time I felt really sick on a plane. Unforgetable flight - very nasty!
