The Pitchforks Are Coming...For Us Plutocrats

Government 'solved' the inequality problem back in 1993, see back then there was a big spread between CEO pay and the average worker....but Govt eliminated the tax deductibility of those excessive salaries. And Corps switched to performance based rewards like stock options
No wait a second, Govt did something and the problem only grew--so, naturally Govt. No wait, Bureacracy not a big fan of you broke it, you bought it

A country full of hot blonds will do that for you. Socialism works when it is all I the family and people feel shame for not pulling their fair share. A country full of moochers, not so much. The top 1% has figured out a way around high tax rates! pay themselves more. The bottom 50% has figured out a way around high taxes, sit on their a$$. Nothing you propose to equalize income disparity will fix this.

Jungle may be correct when he says "The economy can exist without the state". Somalia is a perfect example. One would have to decide if we want the same for the USA.
We already rank 31 out of 34 in inequality in OECD countries. We have gone from a first rate country with a large, strong middle class with a representative government to one with a shrinking middle class governed by the highest bidder. The whole system has become so corrupt we resemble a third world country.

A Gini index does not contain information about absolute national or personal incomes. Populations can have very low income Gini indices, yet simultaneously very high wealth Gini index. By measuring inequality in income, the Gini ignores the differential efficiency of use of household income. By ignoring wealth (except as it contributes to income) the Gini can create the appearance of inequality when the people compared are at different stages in their life. Wealthy countries such as Sweden can show a low Gini coefficient for disposable income of 0.31 thereby appearing equal, yet have very high Gini coefficient for wealth of 0.79 to 0.86 thereby suggesting an extremely unequal wealth distribution in its society.[55][56] These factors are not assessed in income-based Gini.

Everybody loves govt... when it reflects their values... even Libertarians... they are like CRAPers (Conservative Air Line Pilots) who from a position of luxury rail against the very economic conditions that made them....
Said differently... if you are dirt poor you can't afford to be anything other than poor... and that goes for Libertarians too....

Enough of all this hot air being thrown around in this thread!
I am a content peasant who has rights also. It took countless years, countless politicians, and countless gullible people to get me to where I am at today. And don’t think I’m not grateful either.
P.S. And guess what? We peasants don’t give a flying patoot about global warming either!
