The intolerance for others intolerance is mind boggling.
Hypocritical much? It seems very common in those defending their actions/thoughts.
They demand understanding but give none.

It's one of the funny things about a small group of the demographic. Some (AGAIN, not ALL) think they're "rebellious" or BA because they have ink, but if they're criticized, they get all butthurt.

Indeed. It's kind of like those people that are "it's my right to free speech and I'll say what I want!!!!!!" Until someone disagrees with them, then it's "you need to shut up and keep your opinions to yourself. How DARE you say anything like that to me!!!!!!!!!!" (even though they asked for opinions)

Going to answer my question or just continue to be butthurt?

Well, it was an event that profoundly affected her and it took a great deal of effort to overcome. So, I understand her desire to memorialize it.

Not at all. If you want to cover every square inch of your skin with ink, have at it. Just understand you may limit your job options if you do.

People memorialize dead relatives, their spouse/kids, military service all the time. Nothing wrong with a tribute, just be careful where you put it so as not to limit career options.

Fwiw, using a girlfriend/boyfriend's name is prob not a great idea for obvious reasons. I had a former bf put my initials in one of his tats.....bet he's regretted that many times over!

I just can't get past the "Tattoo Nightmares" show on A&E (I think it is). You ask for one thing and the portrait comes out looking like the Crypt Keeper. Guessing "do you have any recency of experience I could look at" or "are you on Yelp" is not the typical line of questioning?

Which is why I go with the dotted line in the heart tattoo with "Your name here" under the dotted line. I am a true gentle men so I provide an erasable ink pen, free with each encounter.

But you already knew that......

Ah yes, truly a member of a dying breed. They just don't make 'em like you anymore!

And yes, I have 3 tats, have a degree and fly for a major. Regardless of my accomplishments I must be an idiot since I have ink right?

According to some of you clowns I must be.

Grow up gentlemen.

Do tattoos hurt more when applied to thin skin?
