Default Pulse Oximeters

Howdy all,

I'm doing my FIRC (Flight Instructor Refresher Course so we are all on the same page) online through AOPA. I am looking at aeromedical stuff right now, and they recommend a pulse oximeter. I guess I've casually thought about them in the past, but for whatever reason a light bulb seems to be going off in my head now. Does anyone on here use a pulse oximeter for flying?

Thanks!

I've heard of people using them for a poor man's sleep apnea study, but never while flying but it does seem like cheap insurance for single pilot ops w/o O2.

We use them... on the patients.

Just for giggles, I'll ask the med crew if they can hook me up on a repo leg.
